In addition to the visual arts, AKM has created original music and theatrical performances for many years. A graduate of the Marymount Manhattan Theater Department, AKM has acted for audiences all over the United States, and created original music and theatrical experiences for The Plaxall Gallery, Astoria Park Alliance and Hunter's Point Park Conservancy. A frequent collaborator with Salt Tree Art, they are currently touring the borough of Queens with their crankie box show, "On an Island in the Blue" with shadow puppets by Brian Soliwoda and story, music and lyrics by A King McCarty. This performance is part of the longer song cycle, "Sal Songs," written by AKM. If you are interested in bringing this performance to your area, please contact them here.
